The legendary R 'n' B trio have announced to the press the release date for their upcoming reunion album.

AceShowbiz - Patti LaBelle proves that she is serious with her previous statements about the reunion of her R 'n' B group Labelle as the group now have already set the release date for their reunion LP. According to Billboard.com the trio's upcoming record, which is still untitled will be outed on September 23.

On the new record the group won't be working alone as they revealed that some famous musicians will be helping them. Those musicians are two famous music producers Kenneth Gamble, Leon Huff and also rock star Lenny Kravitz.

Before releasing their new album the trio's fans will be given the chance to catch them live first as they will take the stage on July 5 performing at the Essence Festival at the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans. According to Labelle's representative the upcoming concert will be the group's first public gig since 1997.

Previously, Patti has already revealed the reason she and her band mates, Nona Hendryx and Sarah Dash decided to reunite saying, "About a year and a half ago, we met to record a tribute to civil rights icon Rosa Parks, and we just felt in our bones it was the time to do this. We're sisters and we'll always be sisters."
