AceShowbiz - Charlotte Church's baby daughter Ruby Megan Henson has been baptized in a small family ceremony. The Welsh singer and her longtime partner, rugby player Gavin Henson, had their daughter Ruby christened at St Mary of the Angels Catholic Church in Cardiff on Saturday afternoon, June 28.

Church was seen wearing a cream coat and she brought Ruby into the church in a carry-cot covered with a white blanket. Henson arrived separately from the mother-daughter duo and was spotted sporting a navy suit.

Several close friends and family members accompanied the couple to the church for the christening. Father Christopher Delaney, who christened Church as a baby, performed the service. The church was decorated with white flowers for the occasion and seven security guards were placed outside its doors, BBC News reports.

Father Christopher Delaney was quoted as commenting, the christening "was a really lovely service." The sacred ceremony was then followed by a garden party, held at Church and Henson's Vale of Glamorgan country home with about 200 people were invited.

Meanwhile, rumor has it that Church has sold photos of the 40-minute ceremony and after-party to a magazine for 50,000 pound sterling. There have yet words on the name of the magazine though.

Church gave birth to daughter Ruby in September 2007. Last Wednesday, June 18 she and Henson posted an announcement on her website, confirming that they are expecting their second child. Her due date, nevertheless, was not mentioned.
