Helena Bonham Carter About to Aboard 'Terminator Salvation'

The co-star of Johnny Depp in 'Sweeney Todd' is said to be in talks to land a part in the latest saga between men and the artificially intelligent robots.

AceShowbiz - Helena Bonham Carter, the depicter of Mrs. Lovett in the Golden Globe-winning musical "Sweeney Todd" apparently has been putting her interest in the battle saga between men and robots, "Terminator Salvation". Words are the 42-year-old is in negotiations to land a role in the McG-directed film.

Though it is still unclear what part she will be playing, it is said that her role would be small but holds key element of the action movie. If indeed cast, the Bellatrix Lestrange of "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" will be enlisted among the already signed cast ensemble that include Christian Bale, Sam Worthington, Anton Yelchin, Bryce Dallas Howard, Moon Bloodgood and Common.

Set in post-apocalyptic 2018, "Terminator Salvation" will tell the story of the fight for the survival of human being against skynet after Earth has been hit by nuclear. The plot is going to be centered on Marcus Wright, a stranger to the human resistance led by John Connor. The movie has fallen into production in May in New Mexico and is scheduled to hit the big screen on May 22, 2009.
