AceShowbiz - It seems that John Mayer fans are set to feel devastated by recent reports claiming that the rocker is planing to retire soon. According to the news, John could be ending his career in the music scene after he finishes his current tour.

That news surfaced after the rock singer himself stated in an interview with USA Today, stating that he might not be releasing anymore albums. "I'm not sure when I'll come back with another record. I feel like I've done everything I can do with this set of tools," he said.

John is currently finishing his European leg that has started in Copenhagen, Denmark on June 20. The rocker is set to disembark in London on June 28, performing at the Hard Rock Calling Hyde Park before staging his scheduled headlining appearance at the 2008 Glastonbury Festival on June 29.

The rocker himself hasn't released a new album yet since 2006 where he dropped a studio set, "Continuum" in September 2006 and an EP titled "The Village Sessions" in December 12, in the same year. The latest project the rock singer set to release is a DVD of his live performance with his band John Mayer Trio, titled "Where the Light Is: John Mayer Live in Los Angeles" which will be outed on July 1. The video was taken from their concert at 1st Annual Holiday Charity Revue in Los Angeles, California on December 8, 2007.
