AceShowbiz - English rockers Coldplay are going all the way to promote their new album "Viva la Vida" in the U.S. by planning another project beside touring the North America. The latest project the band set to launch alongside their tour is a new radio program in the U.S.

The new radio show will be titled "30 Days of Coldplay" and will be aired on XM Radio's channel 51 starting from July 15 until August 15. The program will feature exclusive coverage of the band's live performances on their tour, interviews, rare import tracks and others from their catalog.

Commenting about the upcoming special radio program, the executive vice president of programming for XM said to the press, "Coldplay is one of the most successful bands of the last decade, winning over fans across the musical spectrum with their unique sound and superb musicianship. 30 Days of Coldplay will offer an unparalleled Coldplay experience for both die-hard fans and those who are curious to hear what everyone is talking about."

The band will be starting their North American leg on July 14 in L.A. but before that, they have actually just staged a gig in the U.S. on June 23. Coldplay held the show, which was staged at the Madison Square Garden, New York, as part of their free promotional concerts. Before performing in New York, the rockers have already played two other free gigs in London, England on June 16 and Barcelona, Spain on June 17.

Meanwhile, according to Billboard.com Coldplay's new album will definitely top the U.S. Albums chart, to be announced later today (June 25), after selling more than 700,000 copies on its first week. That success will be their second after receiving the same achievement with their 2005 LP "X&Y".
