Leona Lewis and RHCP's Anthony Kiedis Crowned PETA's Sexiest Vegetarians
Celebrity

The twosome have different genres of music, but they share the same title, PETA's Sexiest Vegetarian Celebrities of 2008.

AceShowbiz - Giving up meat surely does the body good that they've been officially named Sexiest Vegetarians. British singer-songwriter Leona Lewis and Red Hot Chili Peppers lead singer Anthony Kiedis have both been crowned World's Sexiest Vegetarian Celebrities of 2008 by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).

Lewis inclusion in the animal rights organization's annual list is her first time ever. To the largest animal rights group in the world, the pop songbird said "I am vegetarian so I don't have clothes, shoes or bags made from leather or suede or any animal products. ... I'm on a mission."

Lewis beat out a number of sexy female celebs for the top honor, including Alicia Silverstone, Carrie Underwood, Alyssa Milano and Shania Twain on the women's short list.

On the men's short list, musician Kiedis bested the likes of Joaquin Phoenix, Milo Ventimiglia, Paul McCartney and Rupert Everett for the arguably honorable title. He, as claimed by peta.org, went vegetarian only just recently "after learning about the worldwide depletion of fish in the oceans and after a doctor recommended a healthy vegan diet for his son."

"Soon after I [went vegan] I saw some documentary footage of what happens in the factory farming of cows ... It sealed the deal," Kiedis said in a statement.

The complete list of World's Sexiest Vegetarian Celebrities of 2008 can be seen at PETA's official site.
