'The Avengers' May See 'Incredible Hulk' as Baddie
Movie

Talking about 'The Incredible Hulk', director Louis Leterrier unveiled that there is a chance that Hulk may become the villain in the upcoming 'The Avengers' movie.

AceShowbiz - The Hulk may be one of the famous superheroes of our time. Though the green beast is often blinded by his rage, the fictional Marvel's character in most of his adventures comes out to be the hero. However, it looks like his heroin acts would end in the upcoming "The Avengers" movie. The further discussion about this matter may contain spoiler to recently released "The Incredible Hulk".

An updated news concerning "Avengers" suggested that Hulk that is portrayed by Edward Norton in "Incredible Hulk" maybe the possible villain to the team of Earth's mightiest heroes. Hinting the possibility, "Hulk" director Louis Leterrier expressed his hope of seeing Hulk as the bad guy saying, "I would love to see [the Hulk become the villain that fights the Avengers] because I think the best villains are always the ones whose agenda you understand. They're not synthetic to us in a way; they're not these one dimensional bad guys."

Given the fact that Leterrier wants to see his superhero to be the villain, he has provided "Avengers" helmer with a chance to bring Hulk to the other side saying "That's why I left the door open for whoever's going to direct 'The Avengers' with our last shot." It should be noticed that in the end of his "Hulk", moviegoers will see Bruce Banner exiling himself in a mountain lodge and doing a meditation. As the camera closes in, he opens his eyes displaying Hulk's green irises and gives a mysterious smirk.

On the interpretation of the half smile, the filmmaker said, "Edward and I, we consciously decided to make the last shot of the movie when he opens his eyes and he smirks at the camera. Is he enjoying it? Is he malicious? That's what's great about Edward. You don't know if he's a good guy or bad guy. He's always on this edge and we've been sort of surfing that edge, that very thin edge during the entire movie. So that last shot of the movie, if you decide that he's smiling, in control, then he's a good guy, that's 'The Hulk 2'. If Hulk is a failure, then he looks up and smirks and that's eventually the Hulk of the Avengers - the uncontrollable beast that they need to team up to stop."

Regardless of the decision on bringing Hulk to the bad or good side, "The Avengers" has been scheduled to be released on July 1, 2011. The movie will be penned by "Incredible Hulk" writer Zak Penn. Rumor has it that the depicter of Tony Stark a.k.a. "Iron Man", Robert Downey Jr. is on the run to reprise his role as the famed superhero in the tidbit. Meanwhile, "Incredible Hulk" has been making its theatrical debut on Friday, June 13.
