Official Trailer Provides Better Look Into 'The Wackness'
Movie

Sony Pictures Classics have provided moviegoers with an in-depth look into the Jonathan Levine's movie starring Josh Peck and Ben Kingsley through official trailer.

AceShowbiz - Bringing forward a better view into the drama comedy movie that has earned the Audience Award for Dramatic Film at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival, Sony Pictures Classic present the official trailer of "The Wackness". Unlike the previous teasers, this new video footage contributes more to give the idea about the film's story.

Accompanied with a voiceover by the main character, Luke Shapiro, himself, the trailer focuses on the relationship between Luke and his psychiatrist Dr. Jeffrey Squires as well as Luke's interest to Squires' stepdaughter Stephanie. With the display of the '90s trends like Nintendo, the compilation of clips serves as the 1990's nostalgia and it also exposes the amazing list of the film's soundtrack from Notorious B.I.G. to Wu-Tang Clan.

Set in Summer of 1994 which is the greatest years in the hip-hop music biz, "The Wackness" centers on a troubled high school student Luke as he forms an unlikely friendship with distressed psychiatrist Squires. Considering himself to be suicidal, Luke trades the weed he is selling for a therapy session with Squires. As the bond between the two grows stronger, they begin to explore New York City and at the same time help each other deal with their depressions to find the happiness. The Jonathan Levine's tidbit stars Josh Peck, Ben Kingsley, Famke Janssen, Olivia Thirlby and Mary-Kate Olsen. It will be released in limited theaters on July 3.
