Though Michael Bay has insisted earlier that Autobot Jazz will remain dead in the sequel, the vehicle prop of the character has been spotted on the set of 'Transformers 2'.

AceShowbiz - Those who have watched the "Transformers" movie would probably still remember that one of the Autobots crew, Jazz, was destroyed and previously director Michael Bay has stated that the character is indeed dead. However, it seems that the character will be raised from its death to return for the sci-fi action sequel, "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen".
The speculation of Autobot Jazz's reappearance has been sparked by Transformer World 2005 which reported that the vehicle prop for the character has arrived on the set of the Bay-directed film along with the actor who fills in its voice in the tidbit. "...the Pontiac Solstice vehicle prop of Autobot Jazz arrived on the set of Transformers 2 earlier today," the report read. "In addition we've received confirmation from a second tipster that Darius McCrary, the voice of Movie Jazz, is now on set as well."
In the 2007 movie, Jazz ended up being torn in half by Megatron when he was covering for the injured Bumblebee. At the premiere of "Transformers", McCrary has hinted the ally of Optimus Prime may come back in the sequel. However, Bay was quick to tone down the earlier speculation writing on his official website, "No Jazz is dead. We have way more cool robots to come." Still, in April 2008, the filmmaker has noted that most of the information outed previously are false. Hence, it is possible that his denial on Jazz's return may be the misleading info.
"Transformers 2" will have the likes of Shia LaBeouf, Tyrese Gibson and Rainn Wilson and perhaps also Megan Fox, Josh Duhamel and John Turturro. Though the story is still kept secret so far, it is said that LaBeouf's character has graduated from high school and is now studying at college. The movie will be available on theaters nationwide on June 26, 2006.
