His Long Island estate, which is occupied by former girlfriend Shaniqua Tompkins and their 10-year-old son, Marquise was engulfed in a fire early Friday morning, May 30.

AceShowbiz - Trouble comes approaching 50 Cent yet again. The rapper is awaiting investigation after a fire destroyed his Long Island estate, which is occupied by his former girlfriend Shaniqua Tompkins and their 10-year-old son, Marquise, early Friday morning, May 30.

The fire broke out at the house in Dix Hills, N.Y. at around 5:00 A.M. Six people, including Shaniqua and Marquise, were in the house. They all were transported to the hospital, treated for smoke inhalation, and released shortly thereafter. The identity of the other foursome were not being disclosed though.

"Informed this morning while filming a new motion picture on location in Louisiana, Curtis Jackson expressed deep concern over this fire at his property," a representative for Fiddy said in a statement. "He is extremely thankful that everyone including his son, Marquise, escaped the burning house safely. He is confident that authorities will be conducting a thorough investigation of the incident and is eager to review their findings."

The house, which Fiddy purchased in January 2007 reportedly for $1.4 million, has been at the center of a bitter dispute between the hip-hop star and Shaniqua since last month's ruling that she and Marquise must leave the rapper's mansion by the end of 2008. The mother and son refused to leave the building though thus forced Fiddy to evict both of them from the home unless she began paying him rent.

Shaniqua, in the wake of the fire, lashed out at Fiddy, describing him as "obsessed" with her and claiming he had something to do with the blaze. An attorney for Fiddy, in fact, was quick to deny Shaniqua's allegations, branded them as "untrue". In a statement released to TMZ, the attorney said, "Any suggestion that Mr. Jackson had anything whatsoever to do with the fire at his home is outrageous and offensive."

Dix Hills Fire Department Chief Larry Feld, meanwhile, told MTV News the blaze was "definitely suspicious" adding "Let's put it this way, this wasn't your ordinary fire." While the cause of the fire is currently under investigation, Fiddy is not a suspect at the moment.
