Following a number of personal problems, she has finally decided to revamp her canceled-tome.

AceShowbiz - Alanis Morissette is at it again. The Canadian rocker reportedly has decided to revamp her canceled-tome following a number of personal problems.

Initially worked on the book when she was still dating her then fiance Ryan Reynolds, Alanis was forced to cancel it after they mutually broke their engagement in February 2007. "I put that (book) away for a while," so she told Venice magazine, explaining further "This whole deadline thing didn't quite work and there were lots of changes going on in my life then; not a good time to have a big book deadline."

Then admitted that she has "reinstated the whole journey", Alanis said she's now planning to work on her memoir with a new editor, about whom she revealed, "She's not so much an editor as someone who's going to be midwifering the whole project."

As for the book, which is planned to be released in 2009, Alanis insisted it won't be a memoir, stating "I'm thinking of the book as a service ... decidedly not a memoir."

In the meantime, Alanis also is prepping for the release of her new album "Flavors of Entanglement", which is slated to marry the street on June 10. She, moreover, has also said that she will be back on the road soon and would kick off her North American tour in September.
