A real video interview with David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson about the highly anticipated 'The X-Files: I Want to Believe' has come out.

AceShowbiz - After months keeping mum and keeping a tightly sealed secret of the upcoming thriller "The X-Files: I Want to Believe", David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson finally come out to talk about the highly anticipated movie. Though they both didn't reveal much about the film's storyline, the two co-stars exposed what they have in mind coming back.

In a behind-the-scene interview with Entertainment Weekly, both Duchovny and Anderson confessed their excitement on working together again as Mulder and Scully. "We hadn't seen each other for a while; it was like a reunion," revealed Duchovny. "It's really nice to act with her again, because not only do I, David, enjoy acting with her, but when Mulder and Scully come alive [again onscreen] - that was fun; that was kind of magical for us." Anderson then added, "Coming back together again after time has passed, it felt exciting; it felt like it was a choice that we were making, and one that we were enthusiastic about - that's a cool way to start something."

Aside from discussing about the teaming up once again, the two also talk about how tightly the plot has been kept secret. "Chris Carter, he's always been secretive," explained Duchovny. "Ever since the beginning of the show he's kept stories secret; it was a little overboard when I wanted the script and I couldn't have one." Additionally, they noted what to expect from the sequel adaptation. In the meantime, the video containing the interview and several behind-the-scene footages can be watched below.

Directed and co-scripted by "X-Files" creator Chris Carter, "I Want to Believe" is said to center on a stand alone story to be able to collect more audience and at the same time won't shunt away its devoted fans from going to the theaters. The film stars also Amanda Peet, Xzibit and Billy Connolly. It will be coming into theaters on July 25.
