Contrary to heavy media speculation of a marriage proposal, a representative for Jake Gyllenhaal has confirmed "there are no current wedding plans" for the actor and girlfriend Reese Witherspoon.

AceShowbiz - Whispers have been swirling that Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon are ready to wed and planning to make an announcement of engagement anytime soon. Though so, a representative for the actor has insisted there has yet wedding plan for the celebrity couple.
OK! magazine has, in its latest edition, broke the report that Jake and Reese are ready to wed. The publication put the story on its cover under the headline that read, "Ready to wed! Second time's the charm for Reese! Her kids adore him and his family loves her."
OK!, additionally, also quoted friends of the couple as saying, "it won't be long now before Jake pops the question to his lady love." The friends went on telling OK!, "They've been talking marriage for a while. They'll be formally engaged any day now. They want to spend the rest of their lives together."
A representative for Jake was quick to put the brake of the false impending wedding reports, insisted "There are no current wedding plans." A representative for Reese, elsewhere, wouldn't comment.
Being hit with wedding rumor wasn't something new for Jake and Reese. The last time they were reported to walk down the aisle was in early January 2008. It was reported at that time that Jake proposed to Reese during their much-publicized trip to Rome together in October 2007.
She initially turned down his proposal, considering it as too soon after her divorce from former husband Ryan Phillippe. Reese, however, said "yes" to Jake's marriage proposal after consulting with close friends.
