The rapper has answered previous bad comments regarding his addition as one of the performers at the 2008 Glastonbury Festival.

AceShowbiz - After his addition to the 2008 Glastonbury Festival was being criticized by some people, Jay-Z finally has spoken up answering the controversy. The rapper specifically answers to Oasis's frontman Noel Gallagher's comment that disliked Jay-Z's installment as one of the performers at the event.

Answering Noel's critics the rapper said, "We don't play guitars, Noel, but hip-hop has put in its work like any other form of music. This headline show is just a natural progression. Rap music is still evolving." Moreover he also urged the Oasis guitarist to show more respect on hip-hop music saying, "We just have to respect each other's genre of music and move forward."

Jay-Z then expressed his excitement in performing at the event prompted by all the controversy surrounding his upcoming performance. "I've never ever had a show that's caused this much of a stir so I'm really looking forward to it. I've never been involved in anything this controversial. What's the big deal about doing a show? I guess it's heritage and people hold that dear to their heart and see it one way but that's how the world is," Jay-Z explained. "The world has to change. It just can't be one thing-and that's the beautiful thing. That's why people feel so passionate about an event."

Meanwhile, regarding earlier comment that set the feud, previously Noel spoke to the press expressing his disapproval of Jay-Z's involvement at the annually rock oriented event. The English band lead guitarist said, "I'm not having hip-hop at Glastonbury. It's wrong."

The festival itself will be staged at Worthy Farm six miles from Glastonbury town in South West England on June 27-29.
