The "Back to Black" singer is set to team up with Babyshambles' lead singer on a new single to be released soon.

AceShowbiz - Two troubled singers Amy Winehouse and Pete Doherty are set to make a collaboration on a new track that will be outed this summer. The news was revealed by Pete himself who said that while he was at prison Amy and his band Babyshambles's guitarist Mick Whitnall have been working on a new song together.

Confirming the news, Pete said, "Mick and Amy have a great relationship. They have been working on material while I was in prison." Moreover he also addressed his affection to Amy saying, "I have always wanted to do a single with Amy. She is just so talented." The new single reportedly will also be included on Babyshambles' new album.

Amy herself previously has had her project to make a song for upcoming James Bond movie "Quantum of Solace" with Mark Ronson being canceled out. The reason for the cancellation because Mark felt that the British singer is not ready to make music yet.

Beside the duet plan, Amy reportedly will be added as one of the performers to play at Nelson Mandela's 90th birthday concert. Although it hasn't been officially confirmed, rumor has it that the "Back to Black" singer has been asked by Mandela himself to perform at the event.
