Queen Joins Leona Lewis at Mandela's Birthday Concert

The rock legend will be among the performers to play at the concert dedicated to the former South Africa's president.

It looks like fans of rock legend will be flooding the Nelson Mandela's 90th birthday concert after it has been confirmed that the band will be playing there. The rock band are set to perform at the event that will be staged at the Hyde Park in London on June 27.

Along with the rock band, other famous musicians are also set to light up the crowd. The likes of Leona Lewis, cAnnie and Sugarbabes are just a few among other names that have been confirmed to perform on the event. Meanwhile, the show organizers still plan to add more stars for the event. One of the names rumored to be added for the concert is , who reportedly was asked by Mandela himself to appear at the concert.

At the concert, Queen will take Paul Rodgers, who has been working with the band since 2005, as their vocalist following the death of their original singer Freddie Mercury in 1991. It is not the first time that the rock legend work with Mandela as previously the band have made a song "Invincible Hope" for the former South Africa's president campaign against AIDS in 2003.

Queen are known as one the most popular rock bands in the world. Until this year the band have released around 15 studio albums and so many hit singles, such as "We Are The Champion", "Bohemian Rhapsody", "Love of My Life", "We Will Rock You", "I Want to Break Free" and many more.
