Though the earlier rumor about the teaming up of Tom Cruise and Paramount Pictures for 'M:I 4' offered much doubt, recent report states otherwise.

AceShowbiz - Though some offer doubt in the speculation of the coming back of Hollywood star Tom Cruise to the fourth installment of "Mission: Impossible" franchise, the action movie fans could put their hopes high. Recent report on the rumor suggests that there is a big fat chance of Cruise reprising his role in the Paramount Pictures' action series.

Denying the rumor about the lesser possibility of him reprising the role of Ethan Hunt due to his 2006 feud with Paramount topper Sumner Redstone, the studio's CEO has confessed to reporters in Seoul on Tuesday, May 6, that the split won't affect any decision for the film. "If Paramount decides - and they will make the decision - to move ahead with him, I will not object," so claimed Redstone who further noted that the decision falls in the hands of Paramount chairman Brad Grey.

On Cruise's take, it seems that the actor will be taking a professional method on whether or not he will be acting again as Hunt as what his attorney Bert Fields conveyed to Hollywood Reporter. "Tom wouldn't foreclose on working for Paramount," Fields explained. "He will take any situation on its merits and decide whether the project is good or not. He certainly is not nursing any grievance against Paramount or Sumner Redstone." Hence, it means that there is a chance that "M:I 4" will be made with the star of "Lions for Lambs" in it.

Earlier, it was reported that the husband of actress Katie Holmes has been seen to be having a meeting with Paramount executives to talk about him reprising his role in "M:I" franchise. However, the report has offered a big question whether it is true or a mere rumor, especially because two years ago Cruise and Paramount have been involved in a public dispute resulting in the termination of the relationship between the studio and his production company, United Artists.
