Following the rift rumor between helmer Peter Jackson and his art director, it is reported that 'The Lovely Bones' won't be released on March 13, 2009, instead it is now set for fall 2009 release.

AceShowbiz - An upsetting news has circulated around the forthcoming drama movie "The Lovely Bones". After being rumored earlier that director Peter Jackson has stopoed production of his latest feature film project due to creative difference with his art director, it is now said that the adaptation film won't arrive in theaters until fall 2009.

The unveiling of the new schedule has been done by DreamWorks/Paramount, the studio behind the production of the movie itself, on Friday, May 2 to ComingSoon. On the occasion, the studio noted that contrary to earlier reports stating that "Bones" is set for March 13, 2009, they are planning to release it in fall.

Further, the studio also cleared up the rift rumor that has surfaced earlier. Stacey Snider, the chief of DreamWorks stated, "It was a very smooth shoot with no dissent, and all heaven sequences requiring sets or Art Dept involvement were completed on schedule in March. The only shooting remaining involves blue-screen VFX elements, which will be shot in June."

The rift speculation heated up when New Zealand site Flicks.co.nz reported that the production of "Bones" has been halted since the "King Kong" helmer and his art director could not find a middle ground over "the best way to depict Heaven". The rumor becomes a big matter as most of the film's scenes should be shot there.

Adapted from Alice Sebold's best-selling novel, "Bones" picks up the story of Susie Salmon, a young girl who is raped and murdered by her serial killer neighbor. As her spirit reaches heaven, she can only see her family's grief from a distance while her murderer sets his eyes on another victim. Torn apart from her desire to seek revenge and willingness to help her family recover from the tragedy, she struggles to balance the two mixed feeling. The movie sees Rachel Weisz, Mark Wahlberg, Saoirse Ronan, Stanley Tucci and Susan Sarandon as the cast ensemble.
