On Saturday, April 26, it was reported that an accident has occurred during Prague's filming of the action film directed by Stephen Sommers.

AceShowbiz - Few days after media brought up the news of the terrible car crash on the set of the much awaited "Quantum of Solace", they come again with another accident reports related to other movie's production. On Saturday, April 26, it is reported that a collision between a bus and several cars occurred during the filming of Paramount Pictures' "G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra" in the center of Prague.

Reportedly, the car crash incident happened near the action film's shooting area. It isn't clear though whether the "G.I. Joe" crew were involved in the accident or not as reports on the matter only related the mishap to the Stephen Sommers-directed film. Prague police spokeswoman Eva Brozova explained, "It happened in a closed area that was rented out to the filmmakers for the weekend." Further, it is noted that seven people were slightly injured on the accident as David Minowski, a spokesperson of local production house Stilling Films, claimed.

Coming from Lorenzo di Bonaventura, the producer of blockbuster action movie "Transformers", and Sommers, "The Mummy" series director, "G.I. Joe" is a live-action film based on the characters that have been created by Hasbro. The story is said to be focused on the fight against an evil organization known as Cobra by the Joes team. The production of the film starring Dennis Quaid, Channing Tatum, Sienna Miller and Marlon Wayans among others has started on February 11, 2008, whereas the shooting in the Czech Republic has begun sometime in April 2008. The filming is scheduled to wrap up in July. "G.I. Joe" is expected to bow in the theaters on August 7, 2009.
