AceShowbiz - As "Harold and Kumar" fans are waiting for the theatrical release of their two favorite slackers' adventure film, the cast and crew of "Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay" are celebrating the sequel film's premiere. On Thursday, April 17, night, they walked on the red carpet for the film's Los Angeles premiere which is held at ArcLight Cinerama Dome, Hollywood, California.
The special event was attended by most of the cast ensemble, including John Cho, Kal Penn, Neil Patrick Harris, Danneel Harris, David Krumholtz and Ed Helms as well as the two filmmakers behind the Warner Bros. Pictures' comedy film, Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg. Though the red carpet didn't sport any uniqueness unlike some other films, such as "Cloverfield" which erected the headless Liberty statue, it still attracted many Hollywood celebrities, including Brandon Routh, Tatyana Ali, Jason Biggs, Roselyn Sanchez, Eric Winter, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Jenny Mollen and Monica Keena.
Further, on the red carpet reports, Reelz Channel TV Show "Dailies" recorded their interviews with the film's three stars, John, Kal and Neil, and also the two scribblers/directors. In the video footage, it can be seen that all of them talked about the movie itself and its connection to the first film "Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle". Kal who is first featured in the video said, "There is nothing remotely serious about this film. So I hope people don't think it's political movie. 'Coz it's not..."
Distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, "Escape from Guantanamo Bay" is the sequel to the 2004's hit adventure comedy "White Castle". This time, the film follows the venture of the two titular characters as they got into troubles when trying to sneak a bong into a flight to Amsterdam. Rated "R" for restricted, the film contains suggestive nudity, drug use as well as crude language, but still lauded to be among the best film movies by movie critics.
