One of the stars of 'Little Miss Sunshine' has been tapped to star in the upcoming film by Sam Mendes.

AceShowbiz - Toni Collette, the co-star of Abigail Breslin and Greg Kinnear in "Little Miss Sunshine", has been reported to be joining the cast of Sam Mendes' forthcoming feature film project "Untitled Sam Mendes Project". According to Hollywood Reporter, the 35-year-old Australian actress has been signed to play a supporting role in the comedy film.
The movie news site noted that the co-star of Cameron Diaz in drama comedy "In Her Shoes" will be portraying the leading characters' close family friend who also happens to be a college professor. Further, by taking the character, Collette will be starring opposite the two leading theps, John Krasinski and Maya Rudolph, in the film for Focus Features.
The film that is yet to be titled is said to be centered on the story of parents-to-be couple who travel across the country to find the perfect place to raise their unborn baby. It will once again reunite producers Marc Turtletaub and Peter Saraf with Collette following their collaboration in "Sunshine". The principal photography reportedly will be taken sometime in April 2008 in Connecticut. Additionally, actress Cheryl Hines is also rumored to appear in the film.
