The 'Heroes' beauty is said to be signed to fill in the voice of one of the lead lupine characters in the upcoming animated film for Lions Gate Films.

AceShowbiz - The young actress Hayden Panettiere reportedly turns from being an indestructible cheerleader to become a wolf. According to Hollywood Reporter, the star of "Racing Stripes" has been tapped to give a voice to one of the lead lupine characters in the animated family adventure film "Alpha and Omega".

In the CG animated feature film, the 18-year-old animal right activist will be lending her voice to a captured Alpha-bred wolf. The actress will be working with other stars, including Justin Long who is voicing the other lead character Omega, Christina Ricci, Danny Glover and Dennis Hopper.

"Alpha and Omega" follows the story of two bickering titular characters as they work together to find their way home after being abducted from their pack and brought thousands of miles away from their home. Co-produced by LionsGate Films, the movie is said to be in production. Reportedly, the preproduction and post-production of the film will be taking place in Los Angeles.
