the vocalist forgot the lyrics to one of their biggest hits and the bassist suddenly walked off the stage.

AceShowbiz - Duran Duran did not leave a good first impression on their reunion tour on Wednesday, March 26. The rock band who reformed in 2007 to release the album "Red Carpet Massacre", got off an awkward start in New Zealand when a string of mishaps occurred on stage.

Reports said that vocalist Simon Le Bon forgot the lyrics of "Hungry Like the Wolf" which is one of their biggest hits. The vocalist however, managed to pull it through and according to Herald, the audience did not seem to mind.

Prior to the forgot-the-words incident, bassist John Taylor suddenly walked off the stage before putting down his instrument first. The action as many reported was triggered with the stage act when the members of the band should wear matching silk suits that left them little space for movement. "I could not dance to that. These people came here to dance," Taylor said immediately after he returned to the stage.

Duran Duran is still serving the Australian portion of their tour up till April 6. They will head to some Asian countries afterwards following with U.S. and Canadian dates. More dates log on to the band's official site.
