The member of Backstreet Boys will release a solo album later this year and showcase his solo concerts this weekend.

AceShowbiz - One piece of Backstreet Boys, A.J. McLean has announced that he will go solo like his band mate Brian Littrell. McLean has even put tickets on sale for two sneak-preview of his solo concerts in Los Angeles on Sunday, March 23 and Monday, March 24 at Anaheim's House of Blues and L.A.'s Sunset Strip respectively.

His manager Eric Podwall confirmed to People that McLean is going solo, stating, "After 13 years with the Backstreet Boys, and 75 million records sold worldwide, A.J.'s excited to take a step out on his own and present his music, in his style. He's excited to connect to his fans on a one-on-one basis at smaller venues - something you can't do in large arenas - and to give them a taste of some of the music that will appear on his first solo record later this year."

The not-yet-titled album will be released later this year with tracks like "What If," "I Hate It When You're Gone," "London," and "Drive-By Love." The latest has reportedly been performed during Backstreet's live shows a couple of times.

More dates are mapped out for his solo outings after he serves a tour with Backstreet in Europe that ends May 14. He will also be back on the States after that to finish recording his own album plus a seventh studio album for the band.
