Gnarls Barkley's 'Run' is not through the Harding Test because of its strobe effects and therefore it needs to be changed before hitting MTV.

AceShowbiz - It was between two things when Gnarls Barkley's video for "Run" was premiered the end of last month. The first music video out of the duo's new album "The Odd Couple" may have hit the channels and circulated over the sites, but it has been confirmed that it needs some reconstruction in order to be run on MTV.
The clip that was previously denied as having failed Harding Test, will be kept out of rotation on the music channel because it has a strobe effects that can set off seizures on the minute two and above. The duo hope that they will rework on the particular frame and have it released normally on MTV.
"I don't know exactly what's going on, but we're having issues," said one-half of the duo, Danger Mouse. "I think (the video) is cool. It works for me. But I'm not necessarily that easily seasick. We can't predict how people are going to interpret it."
"Run" the original video may not be available on screen but it is put on-line on the group's official site. It features a cameo of Justin Timberlake who appears as a nerdy TV presenter introducing Gnarls Barkley in a '90s-inspired show "City Vibin'". The scene that may be seizure prone is when the background changes into strobing series of black and white shapes and patterns.
"The Odd Couple" will be released on April 8 and the duo are ready to release and shoot the music video of the second single "Who's Gonna Save My Soul". There's also a plan to tour this Summer with dates in U.S. and Europe which will be announced further. "We didn't plan last time to do a whole bunch, and we don't plan to do a whole bunch this time, but you just never know how it's going to feel until you go out there," said Mouse.
