Young Rapper Bow Wow Being Gangster in Dark Comedy Film

The 20-year-old rapper who has appeared in several comedy films will be involved in another film project entitled 'Driving Lessons' as a gangster wannabe.

AceShowbiz - The "Bounce With Me" hitmaker Bow Wow has been reported to be joining indie movie project "Driving Lessons (2008)". According to Hollywood Reporter, the 20-year-old rapper has been set to portray a gangster wannabe who complicates everyone's lives in the black comedy film.

Joining him in the cast are Max Thieriot, Evan Ross, Chi McBride and Gabrielle Anwar. Thieriot will be playing the religious, right-wing teenage son of the lead character Bunnie. McBride is cast to be Simon, Bunnie's next-door neighbor with whom she had an affair with. Ross is going to depict Simon's son, while Anwar will play the sexy, power-crazed co-worker of Bonnie's husband.

"Lessons" is a drama comedy film about seizing the second chance given. The story centers around a distressed family who get to set things right after the mother, Bonnie, suffers a memory loss that made her forget the last 15 years of her life. The film starring also Dermot Mulroney and possibly Selma Blair is set to begin filming sometime in March in Los Angeles.

Though originally establishing himself in the entertainment industry as a rapper, Bow has appeared in some feature films. His first major movie was the family comedy film "Like Mike" in which he played Calvin Cambridge, an 14-year-old orphan that becomes an NBA superstar after finding a special pair of sneakers. He then starred in "Johnson Family Vacation", "Roll Bounce" and "The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift".
