AceShowbiz - The production of Zac Efron's coming-of-age romantic comedy "Me and Orson Welles" is set to begin soon. According to ComingSoon, the film will start taking its principal photography on February 24 in the Isle of Man. Following that, the filming will be continued at the Pinewood Studios located in London and New York.
Based on the novel by Robert Kaplow, "Welles" is set in the thrilling world of New York theater. It follows the story of a teenage student played by Efron who landed a minor role in the 1937 Mercury Theatre production of "Julius Caesar", which brought fame to its director 22-year-old genius Orson Welles portrayed by Christian McKay.
Directed by Academy Award-nominated helmer Richard Linklater, the story was summed up well by the leading character in his saying, "This is the story of one week in my life. I was seventeen. It was the week I slept in Orson Welles's pajamas. It was the week I fell in love. It was the week I fell out of love." Aside from Efron and McKay, the cast also include Claire Danes, Ben Chaplin, Kelly Reilly, Eddie Marsan and Leo Bill.
