Black Eyed Peas' will.i.am has tapped friends like Common, Scarlett Johansson, John Legend to sing "The Yes We Can Song" to encourage people to vote.

AceShowbiz - will.i.am has turned a Barack Obama speech to the verse of his song. Through the song, the member of Black Eyed Peas, is hoping that people will go to vote in the upcoming election so that the result will be fair and judge.

"The outcome of the last two elections has saddened me on how unfair, backwards, upside down, unbalanced, untruthful, corrupt, and just simply, how wrong the world and 'politics' are," he explained.

He tapped friends and fellow musicians such as Nicole Scherzinger, Kate Walsh, John Legend, Scarlett Johansson, Common, Nick Cannon and many more to assist him in the song which is titled "The Yes We Can Song". They recorded it on January 30 and 31 in a Los Angeles studio and will.i.am wrote on his website on how he got the inspiration.

"It made me think of Martin Luther King, Kennedy and Lincoln, and all the others that have fought for what we have today," he explained on the significance of Obama's speech. "It made me reflect on the freedoms I have, going to school where I went to school, and the people that came before Obama like Martin Luther King, presidents like Abraham Lincoln that paved the way for me to be sitting here on ABCNews and making a song from Obama's speech."

A music video has been shot under the direction of Jesse Dylan and contains excerpts from Obama's speech. Both will.i.am and Dylan said that the music video is not intended for Obama campaign and revealed that Obama himself may not be aware of the music video.
