A concert organizer claimed R. Kelly took a $120,000 fee despite not showing up for a performance in Minneapolis.

AceShowbiz - R. Kelly had started off 2008 pretty rough. The R'n'B star who has a pending case with ex-supporting act Ne-Yo, is now sued by a concert promoter who claimed he failed to show up for a scheduled concert.
A Nevada-based promoter, Royalty Records, filed a lawsuit in an Atlanta District Court, suing Kelly for taking a fee of $120,000 despite not performing at a December 20 gig in Minneapolis. According to TMZ.com, Kelly ditched the show because he had to attend a court hearing in Chicago that day.
The show was initially scheduled for December 6 with Ne-Yo and Keyshia Cole in supporting acts slot. However, the singer who is still facing charges for child pornography, pushed it back to December 20 before not showing up at all. Royalty accused in the lawsuit that Kelly "never intended" to do the show after all.
No amount of damages have been specified or comment from Kelly's camp has been issued either.
