Allegedly wants to give a leading role to her sportsman-turned-actor husband, Mira Sorvino has been reported to be developing a baseball movie.

AceShowbiz - The Academy Award-winning actress for her role in "Mighty Aphrodite", Mira Sorvino, is said to be developing a movie. According to press release, the co-star of Robin Williams in "The Final Cut" is in the process of making a baseball movie.

On the project, Sorvino commented, "The day we penned the first five pages was so exciting." She then revealed that it was a project stating, "We'd been talking about it for years, but then one day we just hired a babysitter to take the kids to the museum and sat there and banged stuff out."

Allegedly, the movie is made for Christopher Backus, the 40-year-old actress' sportsman-turned-actor husband. The 26-year-old former baseball player who quit the sport to pursue his acting dreams is said to be starring in the film directed by Sorvino.

Sorvino has just finished filming "Multiple Sarcasms" and is involved with "Sweet Flame". Her film credits include "Romy and Michele's High School Reunion", "Mimic", "The Replacement Killers" and "At First Sight", whereas Backus has made television appearances in "Will and Grace" and "The O.C.". Backus can also be seen in feature films, "All In" and "Redline". He will next appeared in a straight to DVD action thriller "3 Days Gone".
