It has been confirmed that the 'One Hour Photo' director has left the Universal Pictures' latest horror thriller project allegedly because of budget dispute as well as creative differences.

AceShowbiz - Just weeks before Universal Pictures' latest horror thriller "The Wolfman" starts filming, it was reported that its director Mark Romanek dropped out of the film. According to Variety, the helmer of "One Hour Photo" left the project due to budget dispute as well as creative differences.

The dropping out of Romanek wasn't Universal's first experience of losing their projects' key talents in a big-budget film. Earlier, the studio had lost two of "State of Play" leading cast as Brad Pitt and Edward Norton quit the project weeks before shooting begin. Still, they managed to salvage the crime drama film by hiring Russell Crowe and Ben Affleck.

Further, it was said that the studio have began the scouring for a new director and expects to find the replacer before the week ends. Accordingly, the $100 million thriller is scheduled to start the production in March. The film will be starred by Anthony Hopkins as the wolfman's father and Emily Blunt as the female lead, whereas Benicio Del Toro who is attached to the movie will be portraying the title character.
