As the winners of the 14th Annual SAG Awards were announced on Sunday, January 27, it was revealed that 'No Country for Old Men' and 'The Sopranos' were the ones bringing home multiple prizes.

AceShowbiz - After nailing the prestigious DGA Awards for its helmers Joel and Ethan Coen on Saturday, January 26, "No Country for Old Men" once again brought recognitions for its cast ensemble. This time, the drama film about a ruthless Texas oilman won two of the seven kudos in the category of theatrical motion pictures at the 14th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards held on Sunday, January 27.

On the ceremony held at the Los Angeles Shrine Exposition Center, the film got its acclaimed actor Javier Bardem the prize of Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role for his daunting performance as a relentless killer in search for missing drug money. On receiving the kudo, the actor had nothing but kind words for "No Country" directors saying, "Thank you, guys, for hiring me, and thank you for taking the hard work of choosing the good takes instead of the ones where I really sucked."

Aside from getting a supporting actor award, the Overture Films' drama was also honored with Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture prize. Bardem, Josh Brolin, Garret Dillahunt, Tess Harper, Woody Harrelson, Tommy Lee Jones and Kelly MacDonald were among the film's ensemble receiving the kudo. In the meantime, the stunt ensemble recognition was awarded to Universal Pictures' "The Bourne Ultimatum" starring Matt Damon and Julia Stiles.

The award of Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role fell to the hands of "There Will Be Blood" star, Daniel Day-Lewis, whereas for the leading actress, the prize was given to Julie Christie for her portrayal of Fiona Anderson in "Away From Her". On her acceptance speech, Christie said, "It's lovely to receive an award from your own union, especially at a time when we're being so forcefully reminded how important unions are." In the category of best supporting actress, one name stood up, that is Ruby Dee. The 83-year-old actress nailed the honor for her portrayal of Mama Lucas in "American Gangster".

Apart from honoring the actors and actresses in the big screen categories, the Screen Actors Guild also gave out awards for actors and actresses in the television. Dominating the television league was the television drama "The Sopranos" which last episode has been aired several months ago. The mobster series resolving around Tony Soprano garnered three prizes, including best leading actor and actress in drama series which went to James Gandolfini and Edie Falco respectively.

On receiving the honor, Gandolfini said, "This is our last official act as Sopranos together. Here's to you guys. Thank you very much. It's been 10 years. It's been an honor. That's all I can say." Later, Falco also commented on the long run series when she accepted her prize. She said, "Ten years ... I wish for everybody in every walk of life, but particularly for actors, to have the opportunity to have a work experience like I have had with my family here. You're not supposed to get this attached because it's a transient business. I have fallen in love with these people and I don't know how you walk away from that."

Further, the drama series also nailed the best cast ensemble. Further, "30 Rock" brought home best actor and actress in comedy series, while "The Office" nailed the best comedy series ensemble. Additionally, the guild gave the Screen Actors Guild's highest honor, the 44th Annual Life Achievement Award to Charles Durning.
