Britain's Scotland Yard has started an investigation Wednesday, January 23 into a video that allegedly showed Amy Winehouse smoking crack to decide whether any charges should be brought against her.

AceShowbiz - Has secretly been tapped smoking crack cocaine, Amy Winehouse is now facing a police probe after authorities decided to conduct an investigation in order to decide whether any charges should be brought against her.
Concerning the unfortunate, Britain's Scotland Yard has started an investigation by Wednesday, January 23 into a video that allegedly showed Amy smoking crack and snorting other narcotic substances at around 5 A.M. last Friday, January 18 just hours before she was due to attend a court hearing for her incarcerated husband, Blake Fielder-Civil.
A copy of the video footage reportedly was handed over at the request of the Metropolitan Police and already been passed to Tower Hamlets detectives who are now analyzing it. The footage would likely see the British troubled singer being banned from entering the U.S., where she's up for six awards in the upcoming 50th annual Grammys next month. "While it does not immediately mean a refusal, it is one of the issues they go into when processing visa applications and she will be treated just like anyone else," an unnamed source said.
British tabloid The Sun has on Tuesday, January 22 published both the picture and footage showed Amy smoking crack from a glass pipe, and then snorting powdered ecstasy and cocaine.
Amy's father Mitchell Winehouse has issued a comment on that incident, saying "Your video of Amy taking drugs may well be the best thing that has ever happened to her. It's nothing short of devastating - thinking she wants to destroy herself. For all the hurt and pain, it may finally be the thing to focus her mind and convince her to get the help she needs to quit for good."
Amy herself has since the release of the footage been spotted paid a visit to a rehab clinic yet remained tight lipped on her wide-spread crack-smoking video.
