Speculation is mounting on some possible reasons behind the shocking split of newlyweds Eddie Murphy and Tracey Edmonds.

AceShowbiz - Hot on the heels of the shocking announcement they made on their split after just two weeks of marriage, speculation is mounting on why did Eddie Murphy and Tracey Edmonds call it quit even before they made their union official under the US law.
According to People, as being told by an unnamed source, Eddie and Tracey had a rocky start for their honeymoon. The funnyman was said to be yelling at his new wife in front of people and he did it on a few occasions that made it very embarrassing for Tracey. Both of them reportedly left private island off Bora Bora in French Polynesia separately following their wedding ceremony there.
Life&Style, moreover, also reported that the pair got into a huge fight just two days ago. "It was ugly," the publication quoted a source as saying. "They never officially moved in together and apparently never had a civil ceremony."
Worse, Eddie was said to be "very controlling." He insisted Tracey to take his name, but she refused and wanted to keep the name Edmonds considering that her sons already have that surname.
Eddie and Tracey began dating in Fall 2006 and were engaged July last year. They exchanged vows in a sunset ceremony on January 1 on a private island off Bora Bora in French Polynesia and planned to have a legal ceremony in the United States soon thereafter.
Sad to say, the marriage was over even before it began as the newlyweds decided to split up. In a joint statement issued through their representative on Wednesday, January 16, they said "After much consideration and discussion, we have jointly decided that we will forego having a legal ceremony as it is not necessary to define our relationship further. While the recent symbolic union in Bora Bora was representative of our deep love, friendship and respect that we have for one another on a spiritual level, we have decided to remain friends."
