Film director Tim Burton has revealed that he's finally ready to marry girlfriend and mother of his children Helena Bonham Carter.

AceShowbiz - Has been in relationship with Helena Bonham Carter since the year of 2001, it was not until recently that Tim Burton revealed that he's finally ready to marry her.
"Helena and I feel so married we never got around to doing it, but I'm thinking about it," Tim told Britain's Radio Times magazine, adding that "I'm a late bloomer."
First hooked up with the actress when he directed the 2001 science fiction film "Planet of the Apes" in which she starred, Tim and Helena have so far had two children together; son Billy-Ray Burton and daughter Indiana Rose Burton.
Before dating Tim, Helena was in a relationship with actor Kenneth Branagh and then briefly dated actors Rufus Sewell and Steve Martin.
Dating Tim who is a famous film director notable for the quirky and gothic atmosphere of his films, Helena however made herself audition for the roles in his big screen projects because she didn't want to feel like she only got the part because she slept with him.
On getting her part as Mrs. Lovett on Tim's musical drama thriller "Sweeney Todd," Helena explained "I would safely say it made it much harder for me to get the part because the director was my boyfriend."
She, furthermore, added "He told me you look right for it, and potentially you are perfect for the role, but we have no idea if you can sing. I said well I will go away and try to learn, but I had to be righter than right. For my sake, I didn't want to feel like I got the part just because I slept with him. But at the end of the day Stephen Sondheim, who wrote the original musical, had the final say and I definitely didn't sleep with him!"
