The Scottish songbird has been engaged to drummer boyfriend Luke Bullen after he proposed on Christmas Day.
Informed the engagement in a post on her Website, Tunstall wrote Luke surprised her by unexpectedly turning up at her parents' home in Edinburgh to pop the question. She said he called her on Christmas Eve and pretended to be with friends in Norwich, but he was actually in a bar in Edinburgh with her brother. The next morning he surprised her by appearing at her parents' home in St Andrews.
Tunstall, moreover, revealed that Luke had secretly visited her parents a month earlier to ask their permission.
She then went on writing, "So, 11 o'clock on Christmas morning, the doorbell goes and it's Luke suited and booted. With all his bags. And a little box. Wrapped with a ribbon. He proposed! Being an opportunist, I obviously said yes! It feels smashing. Keep an eye out for a little sparkle as I'm playing those chords."
Tunstall and Luke, who plays in her backing band, are set to tie the knot later this year.
