While there have been not much changes on her custody fight with ex-hubby Kevin Federline, the pop songstress wasn't aware of the news after it hit major media headlines.
Found out the shocking news at the same time everybody else did, a family friend told People the news "is going to kill" Britney adding that "in the end, she'll be supportive, but this is a big shock."
Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that momma Lynne Spears' book about raising her famous daughters, Britney and Jamie Lynn, has been put on hold.
The memoir, to be titled "Pop Culture Mom: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World," was initially set to be released on May 11, 2008 to coincide with Mother's Day. But, a spokesman for the Christian book publisher Thomas Nelson Inc. under which the book will be published has confirmed "The book is delayed indefinitely. It's delayed, not canceled."
