On the winner announcement of 2007 New York Film Critics Circle, the Coen brothers' brought home four awards, including Best Picture and Best Director.

AceShowbiz - Though brought home only one award from the 2007 New York Film Critics Online, "No Country for Old Men" proved that it deserves at least a spot at Oscar as it nailed four awards from the 2007 New York Film Critics Circle.
On the announcement made by the New York Critics on Monday, December 10, the thriller movie was named as the Best Picture and its helmers, the Coen brothers were awarded Best Director and Best Screenplay. Besides snagging those three prizes, "No Country" also helped Javier Bardem to win Best Supporting Actor.
Meanwhile, the big winner of the 2007 NYFC Online, "There Will Be Blood", only managed to get two awards, Best Actor for Daniel Day-Lewis and Best Cinematography for Robert Elswit. Another movie that also received two awards is the romantic drama movie "Away From Her" as the two ladies behind the movie, Julie Christie and Sarah Polley, picked up Best Actress and Best First Film respectively.
In the category of Animated Film, "Persepolis" once again walked away on top, while for documentary, "No End in Sight" was awarded with Best Non-Fiction Film. At the same time, Sony Pictures Classics' "The Lives of Others" which is directed by Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck praised as the Best Foreign-Language Film.
Though the winners have been announced, the ceremony of the 73rd annual NYFCC awards will be held on January 6, 2008 at 6:30 PM at Spotlight, New York. In the meantime, the complete list of the 2007 NYFCC's winners can be seen as follows:
