Video Premiere: Blake Lewis' 'Break Anotha'
Music

This would be the first official video that Blake Lewis made for his debut release.

AceShowbiz - 6th cycle American Idol runner up, Blake Lewis, has released the music video for 'Break Anotha', a track taken from his debut album 'Audio Day Dream'. The clip was directed by Sanji who penned Macy Gray's 'I Try' and The Roots' 'Star'.

'Break Anotha' is the official first single from the album, although he had scored a chart position with his rendition of Bon Jovi's 'You Give Love a Bad Name'. The song was produced by Ryan Tedder who is known to be the frontman of band OneRepublic.

'Audio Day Dream' was released on Tuesday, December 4, and thus its position on the Billboard Hot 200 will be determined next Wednesday. His Idol competitor, Jordin Sparks, who eventually came out the winner, released her debut album on November 20 but sadly only managed to open at #10, the lowest position that Idol winner ever get for their debut release.

Lewis recently made a comment on the past Idol alumni's albums and gave out his opinion on what may have happened to their legacy. "They didn't get to do their own album," he said. "They didn't write any of their own music. And a lot of people didn't really want mainstream success."

Adding, "Like Taylor Hicks, I don't think he really wanted success at all even though he got first on 'American Idol.' Katharine McPhee didn't get to make the album she wants. I made the album I wanted to make. I put all this hard work and creativity into this one piece. It was the right album at its time."
