December 6, 2007 (8:36 am) GMT
The photos not only present the images of Speed and his Mach 5, but also those of other principal characters from the flick.

First batch of photos from Wachowski brothers-directed "" has finally been made available online, being published on USATODAY.com.

While giving few looks on the titular character along with his famous Mach 5 car, the pictures also feature images of other characters in the film, such as Speed's family members, his girlfriend Trixie, plus his rivals Racer X and Taejo Togokhan.

Apart from the pictures, the site included an interview with producer Joel Silver as well, who labeled the effects used in the flick 'car fu', because "it was like kung fu with the cars." Though praising the F/X, the man, however, pointed out that the movie basically represents the Wachowskis' true love of the original classic series: the cars, costumes and message.

"It obviously has a present-day aesthetic to it," the man remarked. "But it's still a great yarn about family and not selling out. That's an important message to the (Wachowskis) and why we all connected to the show."

In the meantime, it is further reported that a trailer for the family action adventure is going to debut on "Entertainment Tonight" on Thursday, December 6 before hitting the net. Stay tuned to AceShowbiz for the online version of the trailer.
