Hollywood A-Listers Turn Kite Designers for Charity

Madonna, Angelina Jolie and Cher are among the stars teaming up to design kites to raise money for the Afghanistan Relief Organization (AFO).

AceShowbiz - Having their giving spirit reaching its best level at their heart, Hollywood A-listers are turning to designers, not fashion nor lunchbox designers, but kite designers to lend a helping hand to other people in need. Famous celebs ranging from Angelina Jolie, Madonna, to Cher have all teamed up, designing kites for charity.

The celebs-designed kites, to be auctioned off on eBay by December 5, will help raise money for the Afghanistan Relief Organization (AFO), which will be used to train new teachers and establish libraries in Afghanistan.

Some other celebs involved in the movement including Daniel Craig, Benicio Del Toro, Billy Bob Thornton, Halle Berry, Edward Norton, Reese Witherspoon, Jessica Biel, Kate Winslet, Will Ferrell and siblings Maggie Gyllenhaal and Jake Gyllenhaal.

The kite auction is held as part of a social action campaign tied to "The Kite Runner" movie, which is slated to hit the theaters on December 14.

As reported by Hollyscoop.com winner of the auction will also get a chance to visit the set of the new James Bond film as a personal guest of director Marc Forster.
