Josh Groban's Seasonal classics compilation 'Noel' overtakes Alicia Keys' 'As I Am', thanks to Oprah Winfrey.

AceShowbiz - What a big difference an Oprah Winfrey can make. Apart from the building Christmas spirit, an appearance in her show has triggered Josh Groban's season album to fly off the shelves in rapid rate. 'Noel' was sold 405,000 copies, overtaking last week's champion Alicia Key's 'As I Am' to claim the #1 spot.

Keys' album that set the second biggest number this year, had a 53 per cent decrease in sale this week by moving 349,000 units. Entailing behind hers is NOW compilation Vol. 26 that climbs 4-3 after selling 234,000 copies. Garth Brooks' 'The Ultimate Hits' is still strong on the Top 5 position, taking the fourth with 192,000 units sold.

Eagles' 'Long Road Out of Eden' jumps up one place to #5 with 184,000 sale. And, the biggest leaper in the top 10 this week would be 'High School Musical 2' soundtrack that takes the 6th place after sitting at no. 14 last week. The compilation moved 183,000 copies, a 130 per cent increase in sale. With the new number, the album is therefore named the top selling album in 2007.

Carrie Underwood's 'Carnival Ride' goes up to #7 with 141,000 copies, followed by Celine Dion's 'Taking Chances' that takes a sharp plunge from #3 to #8 after a 40 per cent sales decrease at 128,000 copies. Closing up at #9 and #10 are Chris Brown's 'Exclusive' (121,000) and new entry Jordin Sparks' self titled album (119, 000) respectively.
