A Great Peek at Watchmen's 'New York City' Back Lot
Movie

Helmer Zack Snyder has done awesome job in recreating the city streets for the movie.

AceShowbiz - There's no doubt that director Zack Snyder is very determined in bringing his "Watchmen" to life if looking from few new pictures on the completed back lot set for the project, built in Vancouver, Canada.

Posted on the movie's production blog, the photos grandly show the work Snyder has done in recreating New York City to stay true to the wide time period of the flick. Check out the notorious newsstand with a poster for an upcoming issue of "Tales of the Black Freighter" pinned on its side and the exterior of Gunga Diner, which Rorschach frequently visits, among them.

Along with the images, Snyder also brought up interesting info behind the establishment of the back lot, mentioning the amount of materials used to build the city streets like glass, foam brick, concrete, and nails.

"Since the New York City that is rendered in the graphic novel is so particular, it was very important to me that our backlot speak the same language, the vernacular of WATCHMEN," so he wrote. "In addition, the backlot needs to function as many different parts of the city, countless store fronts, street corners, alleys, etc."
