AceShowbiz - Bit information on the highly-anticipated "Bond 22" has been obtained from the 007's portrayer himself Daniel Craig as he attended the international press junket for his latest starring vehicle "The Golden Compass" in London, England.

The 39-year-old actor openly revealed to IESB.net that shooting on next installment of the famous fictional British spy franchise would be commenced on January 4, 2008 to be exact. In the meantime, the man also assured ComingSoon.net that the project is not affected by the WGA strike at all since it has already had its script finished.

As for his previous remark stating that there would be more gags injected to the movie, Craig surprisingly stated that he doesn't remember saying that, but then added if he did, he is not going to shy away from the fact the occasionally there should be humor.

"The idea of having jokes in Bond I don't think is completely wrong, but I think the jokes to need to come out tension," so he told ComingSoon. "There needs to be moments of humor because we've all been sitting on the edge of our seat. I don't think you should write gags in Bond."

In addition, during the interview with IESB.net, Craig further informed the site that he has just finished filming Edward Zwick-directed "Defiance" in Lithuania while slamming reports that he is cast in "I, Lucifer", firmly claiming he "is not involved" though did admit that he was in talks for it a few years ago.
