Kylie Minogue has been immortalized in a new statue to be unveiled at Docklands Friday November 23rd.

AceShowbiz - Has become the only person other than the Queen to be modeled in wax four times at Madame Tussauds and was the first ever first 'scented waxwork' figure in the London museum, Kylie Minogue has now been immortalized in a bronze life-size statue to be unveiled at Melbourne's Docklands Friday November 23rd.

Kylie's new likeness is created by Melbourne sculptor Peter Corlett, who said to be inspired by the pop star's Showgirl tour to create a figure that showcased the "ultimate Kylie". The statue reportedly took three months to produce.

Corlett, who also created the Weary Dunlop statue on St Kilda Rd, Phar Lap at Flemington and the Ted Whitten figure in Footscray, liaised with both Kylie's management and dressmakers in London to get her body measurements. He then found a cafe waitress, with the same measurements, to pose.

"Then I actually found a young woman working in a cafe in Brunswick St who had virtually the same measurements," so the sculptor said. The waitress was then able to replicate the pose to help him produced the final version.

Kylie's bronze statue, complete with lace body stocking and red high heels, will stand alongside fellow Aussie entertainment greats Graham Kennedy and John Farnham in a Hollywood-style Walk of Fame. The unveiling, to be held at Waterfront City, comes on the eve of the Aussie release of the songbird's new album, "X," on Saturday November 24th.

"X" is Kylie's first commercial album release since she was diagnosed with breast cancer in May 2005.

In related news, Kylie is said to be unhappy with her current wax figure, which was unveiled at the start of this year wearing an elaborate red gown and sprayed with her own signature perfume Darling, and thus would love to have it replaced. She reportedly even willing to pay for a new one and was quoted by the Daily Star Sunday as saying, "I don't like the current one. I've even offered to pay for its removal!"
