Louis Vuitton will make Britney Spears' team to pay a certain amount of fine after a 2005 clip from the pop star used their brand illegally.

AceShowbiz - Offended by the unauthorized use of their product, Louis Vuitton has sued Britney Spears and her team. The pop singer used a pink Vuitton-upholstered dashboard on the video of 'Do Something' allegedly without the permission from the French fashion brand.

As the compensation, not only was her video banned from being broadcast in France, but Britney is also required to pay Vuitton an 80,000 euros fine. The use of the brand in the clip was ruled as an "attack" for its luxury image, a spokeswoman for Vuitton has said, and therefore was declared illegal.

In the 2005 clip, Britney rode a pink Hummer which, at one scene, its dashboard that is covered with Vuitton's cherry blossoms design pattern was shown. Ironically, reports said that this video was a directorial debut for Spears, although she was not fully involved in the creative concept.

The civil court ruling also ordered the video's producer to pay $1,470 per day until the video is removed from the Internet. Apparently it will be a tough task to complete for the footage have been circulated widely, especially on YouTube.

'Do Somethin'' is the second single taken from her 2004 album 'Greatest Hits: My Prerogative'.
