Rapper Xzibit Nabs Acting Stint in Oliver Stone's Pinkville

The "What U See Is What U Get" performer is billed as a soldier who is convinced he carried out his orders in a moral way.

AceShowbiz - Elaborating his big screen resume, rapper Xzibit has given his commitment to take part in Vietnam War drama "Pinkville" which Oliver Stone is set to direct, The Hollywood Reporter has revealed.

The man, whose real name is Alvin Joiner, thereby joins the cast already filled by Bruce Willis, Channing Tatum and Woody Harrelson. Here he will portray a soldier who is convinced he carried out his orders in a moral way.

Filming on the project is slated to start next year under the United Artists banner with Stone directing from script written by Mikko Alanne. Meanwhile, story is described to center on the infamous My Lai massacre of more than 500 people by U.S. Soldiers.

A native of Detroit, Michigan, Xzibit is also known to be the host of MTV's "Pimp My Ride" apart from his rapping and acting career. His past film credits included "XXX: State of the Union", "Derailed", and "Gridiron Gang."
