Not Retiring Meat Loaf Denies the Rumor He Started
Music

Despite taking a 'final bow' last week, Meat Loaf has promised to return next year after he treated the cyst on his vocal chord.

AceShowbiz - After axing two shows earlier this month, Meat Loaf refuses to be considered quitting when he cancelled the entire Europe tour yesterday (November 6). The rock singer promises he would come back even "stronger" next year.

"It really breaks my heart not to be able to perform these shows," Meat Loaf said in a statement. "But I have to do what the doctors tell me so I can look forward to healing and coming back strong in 2008. Let me dispel any rumors before they start - I will be back."

Meat Loaf cancelled the tour after developing a cyst on his vocal cords. It may need a surgery but a voice therapy will be made as first attempt. This will take up time up to six weeks.

Ironically, Meat Loaf was the one who started the rumor on his retirement from music industry. A British newspaper quoted him as saying "Ladies and gentlemen, I love you but I can no longer continue. This is the last show I may ever do in my life. I take my coat off and thank you for 30 years," after performing in Newcastle, England last week.
