Mary J. Blige has moved her album 'Growing Pains' release date from November 27 to December 11.

AceShowbiz - Mary J. Blige's new album 'Growing Pains' has been pushed back from November 27 to December 11. It is speculated that the new date will bring a better sale for the album, proved by her latest record 'The Breakthrough' that was released on December 20, 2005 and sold 727,163 copies in the first week.
However, MediaTakeOut.com reported that an insider in Blige's label, Geffen, said the delay is costing them million of dollars and that the reason is actually Beyonce Knowles. Geffen refuse to release Blige's album on the same day Beyonce dropping her live album and DVD.
With the December release, 'Growing Pains' will now go head to head with Ashanti's much-delayed album 'The Declaration' and Bow Wow and Omarion's joint project 'Face Off'.
Meanwhile, a music video for the album's first single, 'Just Fine', has been booked with the renown Chris Applebaum (Lisa Loeb, Madonna) as the director. It is expected to be released between late this month or early November.
Blige recently spoke to MTV explaining the meaning of her album title, 'Growing Pains'. She said, "So as long as I'm a human being and I'm not perfect, I'm able to say I'm having some growing pains. Because in order to sustain where you are once you made such a breakthrough that everyone is looking at you, now everyone is like, 'Ooh, is she gonna make a mistake?' Yes, I'm going to make a mistake. Yes, I'm still gonna do things. And that's what Growing Pains is about, it's about finally not whining about the pain, Mary J. Blige, and accepting the pain that comes with growing."
The album will feature collaborations with Ne-Yo, Stargate, Dre & Vidal, and Timbaland.
