Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe are officially single again as they had their union terminated October 5th.

AceShowbiz - Hollywood once golden couple Ryan Phillippe and Reese Witherspoon are officially single again in the eyes of the law by the time the Los Angeles Superior Court officially terminated their union Friday October 5th. View the court documents here.

Witherspoon and Phillippe first met when a mutual friend brought the actor to her 21st-birthday party. They married in June 1999 and had since then had two children together, daughter Ava Elizabeth Phillippe and son Deacon Phillippe.

The pair issued a statement through a representative on October 30th last year saying, "We are saddened to announce that Reese and Ryan have decided to formally separate. They remain committed to their family and we ask that you please respect their privacy and the safety of their children at this time."

On November 8th Witherspoon officially filed for divorce, citing "irreconcilable differences" and seeks physical custody of their two children and visitation for Phillippe and "exclusive use of the family residence" plus requests that the court not grant spousal support for the actor.

And while the dissolution of their marriage has been formalized, Phillippe and Witherspoon will have to settle their finances and custody arrangement first in order to have their divorce official and finalized.
